These Air-Fryer Peaches are a mix between caramelized peaches and peach crisp, with soft, juicy, warm peaches topped with a crunchy granola-like topping. They are vegan and gluten-free, and you will love the natural sweetness of warm peaches.
If you love my vegan peach cobbler or my apple peach crumble, then you need to try these air fryer peaches. It’s a simple, healthy way to enjoy a quick and healthy peach dessert.
Plus, the air fryer make it fast to cook in less than 12 minutes. So now, let’s talk about why I created this recipe. It’s peach season, and I usually grill peaches on the BBQ in summer. But, then I started to use the air fryer because it was faster and kids can participate easily.
I always thought grilled peaches are too soft and miss some crunch. Grilled, caramelized peaches are good, but then I thought why not add some crunch with oats, nuts, to boost their taste. That was enough to make a perfect recipe! My whole family adores this easy summer dessert so here’s the recipe for you.
Ingredients and Expert Tips for Success
- Fresh Ripe Peaches – Make sure they are soft to the touch, or they won’t be easy to halve and pit. You can use yellow peaches or white peaches, up to you. Keep the skin on and wash before use. Halve, remove the pit, I use a teaspoon to run around the pit and push it out easily without breaking the peaches’ flesh.
- Quick Oats – You can use rolled oats, but I prefer the thin texture of quick oats.
- Sliced Almonds, shredded coconut, or any chopped nuts you love like pecans or walnuts.
- Brown Sugar – You can also use coconut sugar or any crystal sweetener you love. You can also swap for maple syrup if preferred.
- Cinnamon is a must for flavors.
Preparation
- First, line the bottom of the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
- Next, wash the peaches’ skin. Use a small sharp knife to cut them in halves. Then, use a small teaspoon to push out the pit.
- Place the pitted peach halves on the prepared air fryer basket ,skin touching the basket. it means the orange flesh face up. It’s fine if the peach halves, touch each other but don’t overlap.
- Use a pastry brush to brush the flesh of the peaches with melted coconut oil or melted vegan butter.
- Then, stir brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and evenly sprinkle the mixture over the brushed peaches.
- Next, in another mixing bowl, stir oats, sliced almonds, melted coconut oil, cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the oat crumble evenly on top of each peach half.
- Air fry peaches at 350°F (180°C) for 9 to 11 minutes. The air frying time depends on how ripe the peaches are at the beginning. The ripest the fastest it bake. Air fry until the topping is golden brown and the peaches release juice, and the flesh is soft.
Serving
Serve the peaches with some toppings like:
- A drizzle of vegan royal icing
- Vegan yogurt – I love a dollop of cashew yogurt
- Scoop of Vanilla ice cream
- Vegan whipped cream
- Coconut Frosting
- Cashew frosting
- A pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg
