This Strawberry Frozen Yogurt is a 3-ingredient, ready-in-5-minute frozen dessert that can replace any ice cream ad that you can tweak with many add-ons.
I wanted a simple, healthy, and refreshing dessert that’s perfect for any time of year. I could have made my Banana Frozen Yogurt, but I wanted something fruity and fresh. With just a few wholesome ingredients, this frozen yogurt is quick to prepare and full of natural flavor.
It’s made with just 3 ingredients and in under 5 minutes. You can also make this recipe with many other fruits for a delicious dessert that can be made any season!
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Frozen Strawberries – My preference is to use frozen sliced strawberries. Whole strawberries are much more difficult to blend than sliced strawberries. If you don’t have frozen strawberries, this recipe also works fine with frozen raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries.
- Plant-Based Yogurt – Any plant-based yogurt works. For the best flavors, you can use coconut yogurt. For more protein, you can use soy yogurt.
- Maple Syrup – You can use any liquid sweetener, like coconut nectar or agave syrup.

Pipe the Strawberry Frozen Yogurt into a waffle cone.
Expert Tips
- Use Ripe Strawberries: Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor.
- Strain the Yogurt: Use thick, creamy vegan yogurt to achieve a rich texture.
- Sweeten to Taste: Depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, you may want to add more natural sweetener. Taste the mixture before freezing and adjust the sweetness as needed.
- Blend Thoroughly: Use a high-speed blender or food processor to blend the strawberries and yogurt until smooth. This ensures a creamy consistency without chunks.
- Add a Splash of Lemon Juice: A small amount of lemon juice enhances the strawberry flavor and adds a touch of zing to the frozen yogurt.
- Chill Before Freezing: For a smoother texture, chill the blended mixture in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before placing it in the freezer. This helps the yogurt set more evenly.
- Stir During Freezing: For a smoother texture, stir the mixture every 30 minutes during the first 2 hours of freezing. This helps break up ice crystals and keeps the frozen yogurt creamy.
- Let It Soften Before Serving: Allow the frozen yogurt to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping. This makes it easier to serve and enhances the creamy texture.
- Add Fresh Toppings: Top your frozen yogurt with fresh strawberry slices, a drizzle of maple syrup, a sprinkle of granola, or my Magic Chocolate Shell for added flavor and texture. You can also add some crushed peanuts on the chocolate shell.

Strawberry Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups Frozen Strawberry Slices
- 1 cup Plant-Based Yogurt - (note 1)
- 3-4 tablespoons Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender.
- Blend at low speed, and if using a blender, use the tamper attachment to push the frozen strawberries to the blade. When it becomes difficult to blend, stop the blender, scrape down the food, and blend again on the lowest speed until it forms a thick, creamy, frozen strawberry dessert.
- Serve with a ice cream scoop on a waffle cone or pipe on a glass.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container. Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before eating. Note that this no-churn ice cream becomes icy when stored. It's tastier to eat immediately.
Yum! Thank you!
